Here we are. 2008. A whole new year.

Whoopity-fuckin-doo!

Allow me to share with you how my new year started: I was in a wreck! Yes, really! I was travelling down I-75 on the first Saturday of the new year when some bitch slammed into the back of my car. I never saw her coming, but I did hear the squeeling of tires just before impact. No one was hurt, but my car got tore up. The whole rear end was smashed in and buckled almost completely underneath the frame. Her insurance company decided that it was a total loss. If you know how much I loved that car, then you have a pretty good idea of how pissed off I was.

Fortunately, she admitted that it was completely her fault. I've been dealing with her insurance company for the past week trying to make sure I get the amount I need to replace what I had. My Prius was the best car I've ever had, and I want one just like it. It appears that they are going to come through with everything I need, but it's still a huge pain in the ass to go through. They gave me a rental car in the meantime, but it's a freakin' mini-van. A MINI-VAN!!! Have you ever driven a compact car for a year and then instantly switched to a mini-van? Good Lord!!! I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

On an up-note, I am typing this entry on my brand new laptop. It's a Dell XPS, and it's very nice. More on all of this later. I have to go see a man about a hors...um, Prius, I mean.

Well, well, well. Here we are, only 22 days until Christmas. This year feels like it has blown by so quickly, yet so much has happened. I'll see if I can't muster up the energy (or enthusiasm, for that matter) to post a summary of this year in the next few days. It will give me a chance to reflect and you, the reader, a chance to find out what I've been up to (since I haven't talked to most of you in months).
